Gandhi and Shastri: remembering two great Indian leaders on their birthdays
Anyone who knows anything about India knows that the two greatest political leaders in Indian history are Mahatma Gandhi and Lal bahadur Shastri.
Lal Bahadur Shastri was the second Prime Minister of India after Jawaharlal Nehru.
He was a veteran of the Indian independence movement, participating in activities such as Satyagraha, Salt Satyagraha, the Quit India Movement.
He also served as Minister of Home Affairs (1956-57), Minister of Power (1964-66), and Minister of Transport & Communications (1966-69).
