One of the most notable listings on the Broncos’ injury report was that of cornerback Damarri Mathis, who was listed as questionable with an injury he sustained during practice this week.
The good news is that Mathis will be available to play against Los Angeles in their Monday Night Football matchup at Sports Authority Field at Mile High next week,
All seven players who were listed as questionable will be able to play.
However, the bad news is that Denver will still likely be without tight end Jake Butt (knee), outside linebacker Von Miller (illness), and offensive lineman Ron Leary (concussion).
The Denver Broncos (5–2) welcome in-state rivals Los Angeles Chargers (2–4) for an AFC West showdown on Monday Night Football.
Quarterback Philip Rivers will have his hands full against Von Miller, Bradley Chubb, and a rejuvenated Denver defense that ranks first in yards allowed per game and third in sacks with 16.
The Los Angeles offense has been mediocre as of late, averaging 24 points per game over their past three contests against NFC opponents Seattle Seahawks, Chicago Bears, and Oakland Raiders.
The keys for Denver is winning in every phase. If they can contain Justin Herbert and Russell Wilson, that’s what will allow them to take a win from Los Angeles.
